The player uses Nikki as a model through various Styling Battles, wearing a variety of clothing obtained through gameplay and with the aid of " Designer's Reflections" - cards that need to be levelled and ranked up in order to improve Nikki's Styling Power.
The players play as themselves who were summoned by Nikki to her inner world through the power of the Gate of Heart. Similarly to Love Nikki, Shining Nikki is a dress-up game with RPG elements.
Her mission is to stop Leonid, the legendary designer who she believes is responsible for Miraland's destruction.įor more information on the plot, please visit the Shining Nikki Wiki to learn about characters and the main story. In order to prevent a future where Miraland is destroyed by the Sea of Memories, Nikki travels back in time to Year 0 in a structure called the Ark. The game acts as a sequel to Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen.
